Recently we heard that James Spader would portray the Avengers arch nemesis, Ultron and now following months of speculation and stories across the web the first confirmation has come in that Aaron Taylor-Johnson has been cast as Quicksilver.
The star has already played a comic book hero in the form of Kick Ass and now turns to the Marvel Universe to portray one of their key heroes. It's interesting to note that both Marvel and Fox hold the rightS to Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch as both play key roles in the mutant storyline as well as the Avengers. In X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), the role of Quicksilver is played by Evan Peters
Earlier this week Samuel L. Jackson practically gave the casting news of Scarlet Witch away by implying that Elizabeth Olsen would play the character in the upcoming Avengers movie. Both Olsen and Johnson also team up in 2014's Godzilla movie.
